I wonder what anagram comes up for huckleberry?

Sternest Meanings: webuser: huckleberry sternest: Blurry cheek

hmmm… Somehow I think it might be right.

So let us see how urban dictionary defines huckleberry…

  • “I’m your huckleberry” means “I’m just the man you’re looking for!” “I’m your huckleberry…” Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday in Tombstone

…well that could be good and Val Kilmer is certainly handsome…

  • Means a backwoods, six toed, inbred hillbilly from the American south. Look at those Huckleberry (s) at Wal-Mart.

…I am simply sitting here shaking my head …moving on…

Lets ask the magic 8 ball if we should get one…

…I will take the 8 balls advice under consideration…

So What is it?  It is like a periscope for your iSight.

An interesting device, the huckleberry turns your mac into a webcam. I thought it might have some interesting uses in the art as daily life video sequences (it does make me wonder about the ethical issues associated with sitting around a coffee house webcamming people and listening in on their random conversations…. hmmm… I must admit it’s not stealthy so anyone with a small amount of awareness might wonder why you had a giant mirror like object strapped to the top of your mac. Don’t mind us…Mac{key} never wanted to be left in the dark again so we went ahead and equipped him with his own Northern Industrial Headlamp…yep…that’ll stop all the questions…

Anywhoo it is not too expensive for investigating at a 28.95 + shipping and handling and truthfully it might be a very useful tool for one-on-one interviews. The Delicious Library application also looks interesting, kinda like iTunes for video. Perhaps worth additional investigation with a price tag of $40.00.

According to the Huckleberry website:

“The Huckleberry 3 uses two mirrors to provide a full 180 degree change in camera direction.

Fun Uses For Huckleberry:

Film home movies in iMovie HD.
Create stop-motion video in iStopMotion.
Scan your media with Delicious Library.
Take pictures in Photo Booth.
Much more!”

I figure I’ll add it to the wish list and if I find it really does have a practical application for the semester maybe the Easter Bunny will leave it for me…or not

What is becoming of us?
