and he misses his dad. He also learned a valuable lesson about respecting kitties this morning. In particular ones that are extremely pissed off that there is “yet another dog” in the house. I am sure that this IS NOT what kitty signed on for when she decided to take up residence with us in 1997. Somehow the childless, dogless, easy going hippie couple turned into a retreat for “ALL DOGS”. But enough about the kitty woes. Here is a picture for Jerry in case he finds a coffee shop with internet access in between the out of town lunch and the actual wedding.

Grendel's Rent-A-Mom is Smothering him

Yesterday went well with the Vermont stuff. I was able to complete the application. Today I am working on the horrid essay. This is difficult. As you can see I am procrastinating by taking pictures of Grendel with my camera phone and looking up interesting facts on boingboing. Something to note about today since Jerry in in Mephis: Arthur Lee, singer and guitarist of the 1960s band Love, has died in Memphis at the age of 61 following a battle with acute myeloid leukaemia on Thursday. He was a Memphis native who called himself the “first so-called black hippie.” Lee formed Love in Los Angeles in 1965.The multiracial band recorded three groundbreaking albums that fused rock, blues and psychedelia. He was born on the same day as my father. I have always found him interesting.

Enough …I must continue working and stop dilly dallying around. I will say that Grendel’s constant company on the couch and the fact that I finally got my iPod to stop playing country music and Meatloaf have made this process much more enjoyable. I will post more later.

cheers.
