I have decided to write this post early because Jerry and I have decided to exchange WordPress/Webpage Wednesday this week for walking down to the comic book. We are hoping they have Marvel Zombies in TPB. I am also stuck in the Video Lab and unable to leave because we are having one our summer southern downpours.
So where to begin? Let’s start with the current state of the Process Blog and Webpage. There are still problems with both. On a Mac the website gives double images and on wide screen monitors the categories don’t come up on the right side of the screen… Instead they are pushed to the bottom of the page. Why aren’t we trying to fix this today? Well See…I just can’t freaking take any more right now with this. So we are going to look at nice shiny comic books instead. Technically it could be called “Research”. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
What next: Jerry’s Art. Jerry has been extremely busy (I am thinking this is because I haven’t been taking up as much of his time with my WordPress Woes). His Gravelbed Gavin Astor illustration finally got posted to The 700 Hoboes Project and he finished #97 Lonnie Choke (which I think is his best one yet). Take a look at both!
#488: Gravelbed Gavin Astor (http://www.e-hobo.com/hoboes/488)
#97: Lonnie Choke (http://www.e-hobo.com/hoboes/i/198805710/)
I have to put this in because it’s great and I haven’t posted it yet…so even though you can go to the link above here is Lonnie Choke.

Update on HotPressed Poster Fest. No news. Maybe they will call or maybe it will be my second rejection letter for the bulletin board. I’m keeping them on the wall of my inside desk to remind myself to keep trying. I know this sounds odd but having rejection letters at least means your trying to get your stuff out versus having it just sit around doing nothing. In the same vein, I have emailed to see if I can contribute to SaidandDone (a link Jerry forwarded to me awhile back). The goal of this project is to “challenge and push the process of the individual, as well as the collaboration process, thus uniting artists and their communities”. They are in the process of compiling / creating number of books to sell, and the proceeds will help fund the Said and Done super magic awesome show tour. Sounds cool. Have I mentioned that I absolutely love love love Canada? Move me to Toronto and give me a big phat winter coat.
The 700 Hoboes Project submissions: yes, I am going to keep submitting. Why? They don’t send rejection letters. The next one to go in is going to be #538: Shanty Queen Elizabeth Regina. This one is going to be me, or actually Violet modified. Hoping to finish it by the end of the week.
So that’s about it. If I have time this evening I am going to start backtracking on the Smushed Pennies Project and continue spell checking all my previous posts. I have forgotten where I actually started doing them in Dreamweaver so I have to go thru the posts and see if I can figure it out. I really don’t want to do this but heaMUSEsme says I have to.
Cheers.
