Mojo’s Alter – December 2005
Today I found a guitar in the trash next to the church. I was thrilled. I have been looking for a messed up guitar to replace the original one I made for David to use in my Tribute to Mojo (I want to put this in the old Jail/December Cheap Art Auction) So far I have been given a real movie theater "Now Showing" lighty sign that I can use and the guitar. I want to have this done for Mojo’s 1 year anniversary of his death so that he can be honored.
When Mojo got prostrate cancer I promised him beauty, dignity, and grace. I am trying to hold on to my end of the bargain. I think the world is trying to help me live up to my promise. I also think that every time I second guess myself influences for Plan A the world exert’s mindful reminders. That’s how I see it. I also finally got an email from Israel. The USB EPOS Pen is going to be available 4th quarter of this year. This meant ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to me so I went and asked someone in the School of Business what FOURTH QUARTER meant. It means October, November, December. OK, so why not just say so? But Hooray…at least I have contact with the company and know when to bug them again. I promptly put it on my calendar to email in November. I am really hoping this will cut down on my sketchpad scanning duties and alleviate the troublesome task of trying to redo work. I am really trying to make this documentation stuff as seamless as I possibly can.
So far, I have really only figured out the writing thing successfully but all will come in good time. The "How to Draw Marvel Comics" book did not come today either. But I do at least have 3 subjects to draw everyday that I have settled on. I have all the pictures for Mojo’s tribute to transfer to Day of the Dead drawings and I am going to transform all my friends into superheroes or pinup models. Lucky them……and tonight? I am going to shave. I haven’t shaved in a week and I feel like Grizzly Adams. I am going to do things that require multiple potions and lotions so that tomorrow I can feel like a girl. Gratefully my wonderful husband loves me just how I come…
Tomorrow I will try to cast the van Arnhem bracelet in silver. Groovy. Wonder how that’s going to work out. And …Jason is coming over to begin PROJECT LIGHT in my studio (running electrical cable and installing a patch panel in the laundry/dark room so that I can have shop lights over my major work areas). I CAN’T WAIT.
